devising performance

Today I practice the performance with my teammates Arron and Jacob. My role in my group is a narrater, I always give a back ground information for our scene: David is a high school student, his dad always overprotected him, because he doesn't want his son to be injured, in order to protect his son David he built a metal fences for his house. I have to give the important information to the audience. I also have to add angry emotion into my character, in order to get out of the control of the father in the play. In our group we talk about the properties between the rich people and poor people. In the play Jacob is the father of David, I'm the person David, Arron is David's friend and classmates. In our group I act a person always overprotected by my dad, everything is planned for me, I don't have free time in my daily life I have to stay in our home and play with the rich people, one day Arron comes to my house and find me to hang out with him. But my dad Jacob stopped me I feel so mad so I argue with my dad. Fences is a thing to protect us, but overprotect is not always good. In our play we have a narrater to give the information to the audience, so the audience can understand the story. We also add the emotion in to the character so it's easy for audience to feel the emotion. Our three go inside to the character in order to make the character become vivid, we won't feel embraced, we speak loud and fluently. When a person wants to say their monologue, they will step on the floor and remind the audience that I'm gonna say my part. This reminder helps a lot. But we did not did a great job on the physical touch, we only have the conversation between each other. In my opinion I agree to add some physical touch, so that we can express our emotion directly to the audience. And during the play, when Jacob said we can't hang out together I smiled, this is a big mistake, it will present different emotion, if I smiled, I should be upset. And I think I should add more thing in the end of the play to make it become fully, And every time when I talk about a background information I will speed up, So I have to learned how to slow down, so that the audience can understand better about what I have said. I learned how to stand in a right position on a stage, when I become a narrater I have to stand on the center down to let the audience to heard my voice clearly. And when we have a conversation we went to the up right. When I watch other groups performance I think they have a great acting skill, and they also have many physical tach and they will change the volume when they want to present a different a emotions, their story are also very attractive, they have different topic from us, So their topic are very interesting to me.
