Reflection
Blog post due by the end of the day -- Reflect on your group's performance (strengths, weaknesses, etc.) as well as your individual performance.
Actually, for this final performance, I improved a lot after the process of practicing. I increased my volume in the play. in order to show Ma's power and her emotional change. I also use hand to hit the table in scene two in order to make a loud noise. This can also show the power of Ma. In scene three, when I had an argument with Grace I add facial expression when I trying to broke the Teddy Bear. So that I can express the angry mood easily to the audience. For this time, I remembered to move the furniture during the scene change, I helped Grace and David Wang to move the table and chairs. So that our scene change time was much shortened than the previous performance. In the monologue part, I tried my best to add body language and facial expression even some movements. I think I did pretty well for my monologue scene. Because after the performance I got many positive feedbacks. They think they can feel the emotion that I wanted to express. But I also have some weakness. Such as I am very nervous before I go on the stage. Because I'm nervous I forgot some lines in my monologue part. This can show that I'm still not fully prepared for this performance. But I already practiced multiple times, I know what emotion the character want to express so I just use my own words as the lines. I think no one can realize I forgot some lines. Because I did a good connection between each line. Actually during the performance in scene three, when I have an argument with Grace, her performance is pretty good, but I don't know why I want to laugh at that time. I keep thinking about not to laugh because if I laugh the whole group has to do it again. It's like wasting time. I also use my nail to hurt myself so that I won't laugh. I think this time I made lots of progress and I improved a lot. I think I already tried my best to do this final performance.
